PAYMENT//
Employees are paid biweekly for their regular wages due. Biweekly is defined as every other week on a specific day of the week. Employees will be paid on the last business day prior to any payday that happens to fall on a weekend or holiday. Employees will be paid on their scheduled paydays, in accordance with payroll policy and as permitted by state law through any of the following method(s):
Checks will be either hand-delivered or mailed to employees. Please refrain from leaving paychecks in unsecured areas. If a paycheck is lost or stolen, you must notify a payroll manager at once.
If Direct Deposit, you will receive any direct deposit of wages in a savings or checking account at the financial institution of your choosing.
PAID TIME OFF//
Visual Edge offers 20 days of vacation and personal days plus 11 local holidays every year. We ask that you track your time off. Your vacation time is prorated based on your start date during your first year at Visual Edge. Your vacation time rolls over year to year with a maximum bank of 27 days at any time. If you are terminated or resign from Visual Edge with vacation/holiday days in your bank, those days will be forfeited.
SABBATICAL//
In addition to annual PTO and holidays, every three years employees may take a 4-week paid sabbatical. Give your team a heads-up, preferably three months in advance, so they can coordinate. If you’re terminated or resign from Visual Edge with an unused sabbatical, that sabbatical time will be forfeited.
SCHEDULING TIME OFF//
Visual Edge doesn’t have a formal time off request process. It’s your responsibility to work with your manager and team to ensure coverage and manage your scheduled workload. The sooner you can inform your manager and team of your planned absence, the better, especially longer absences like sabbaticals or long vacations. If your team has a defined process for scheduling time off, please follow that first.
